Hi, I have recently become the owner of a brand new CT 200h S, My car is fitted with 15 inch low resistance tyres, on referring to the handbook I see it gives two air pressure settings, standard 33 psi or eco 39 psi. Has anyone any comments on the pros and cons of each pressure? I presume the eco 39 psi gives better mpg but what about comfort, road holding and the life of the tyre?

Hi Gary

Have the Tyre manufacturer suggested any pressure for the CT?

I have tried running tyres at higher pressure (39psi). Shock horror, they seem to wear more evenly, the ride quality is more harsh, the car uses about 2% less fuel, wet weather road holding marginally improved.

I tried this with 16" tyres and the ride quality was still acceptable ( to me).
