Interesting article - Toyota have offered to share their patents .... are they getting worried that H2 may not be viable without other manufacturers going down that same route?

Why do they have to make these cars so ugly? its as though designers of alternative fueled cars think that those who will buy them are all blind and stupid. Mike.

Interesting, I bet Toyota has already developed a superior hydrogen powertrain to the one offered then.

Im sure Honda has come up with the Clarity or something which is hydrogen.

As for the Mirai, its an odd thing in terms of looks but then the new LF-FC Lexus looks pretty good.

I mean compared to the monstrocity of the Audi SUV range, especially the Q7 which looks worse in person than in the pictures, the Lexus SUV's look absolutely perfect in person as the angles all have a meaning and join together which can't be seen on pictures very well.

For hydrogen cars to become established there needs to be refuelling infrastructure. It is in Toyota's interest to help other manufacturers get up to speed. Not sure why this is making the news today, the same story was reported at least 10 months ago.

Is the Mirai ugly? That is a matter of opinion, but the main purpose is for it to be different and standout which it does achieve.
