Hi,

Was wondering if someone could clarify something for me, have a 2008 GS 450h and now the nights are getting darker have noticed a lot more the headlights and how they move with the steering, only thins is that it seems to me only the left one moves. Can anyone tell me how they are supposed to work? or is there a test that can be done to see if they are functioning properly.

I can see the left one moving a fair bit going round right hand bends but the right one doesnt seem to do the same when going around left ones and wondered if thats how its supposed to be or if I should get them checked.

Thanks

it looks like when turning the lights only turn 5 degrees to prevent blinding oncoming drivers where if you are turning left they turn 15 degrees which probably explains what you have noticed

hope this helps

Thanks for the response but that also doesnt tell me if both headlights should move or is it just one of them?

The illustration shows both lights moving but one only slightly. Turning left or right cause different amounts of swivel as explained above, the nearside light can turn in more without impacting oncoming traffic.
