So the crash really has bummed me, but my new tyres arrived today though !!!

£360 for 4 x 215/45/17 Eagle F1 GS-D3's

Have the same tyres (EagleF1 GS-D3) on now for 3 months. Very impressed with them.

Supplied, fitted and four wheels balanced for €480.

How do these compare with the performance of the Dunlops

That was delivered to my door, so then I had to pay £10/corner for fitting, balancing, valve etc. So, nett result is all in £400 for 4 x GS-D3's. Well chuffed with that price.

I always use Micheldever Tyres (midlands somewhere I think) as I've never found anyone cheaper. Went to a mate's tyre fitting place to get them put on because I won't trust anyone else with my wheels :)

As for how they compare with the Dunlops - I'm not sure to be honest. The cost is tremendously different. I've used GS D3 F1's for quite a while now and thing they are a brilliant tyre - even had them on my Escort Cosworth. I've never used the Dunlops (assume you mean the SP9000's?) so couldn't comment, but suffice to say once having used the F1's I've not bothered trying anything else!!!

Course, the price I paid was for 215/45/17 (think that's what they were) and as they size gets more low profile, wider, and larger diameter the price does increase - but I'm definately chuffed at £100/corner!

Micheldever tyres is between Basingstoke and Andover, in Hampshire, see here.

If you are just sourcing tyres to be fitted elsewhere, Headley tyres are clightly cheaper. They are in Thatchan/Newbury area, tel. 01635 268384.

We are very fortunate round here to have 2 great independant tyres shops (the above 2) which are very cheap and both do a good job.

Maybe Micheldever had the edge on fitting and balancing.

Someone said there is a good place in Bracknell too, which were cheap.

Bracknell is cheaper than Micheldever. I don't think they do that good a job at fitted/balancing though.
