So car has gone for its 3rd service, at 14mths old/37k miles, and both rear shocks were found to be leaking, with the top portion wet with fluid.

Can't say I've noticed anything with the way the car drives.

Needless to say they are being swapped under warranty, though it does mean another trip to the dealer as they don't keep stock (not surprising really).

Seems unusual to me that both would fail at this stage, guess it must be a faulty batch, are they the same part number, or are they handed?

My old car had the same shocks that didnt leak at 12 years 90k miles!! It must be hopefully a one off fault. Or do dealers "find" things that they can charge Lexus for?

Nope definitely faulty, I've got the video evidence from the workshop to prove it.

I'd assume a one off if one was leaking, but both rears??

I've blamed the wife for making us carry so much unneeded stuff to Italy in the summer!

Probably a dud batch - The IS300h F-Sport shocks are made by tokico for reference.

Of course, it does depend on how fast you go over bumps and the like!

Oh well. My car has AVS too and I suspected they were different to std ones. So may be in for a wait to get them ordered and to the dealer.
