Text And Email On Is300 Nav With Iphone.

Hi, I have an executive edition as a company car and used the nav with a Samsung S6. This worked well and I could get texts and e mail through the nav which was great. I now have an Iphone 6 and while it has paired and the phone and streaming work well I am not getting text and e mail. Has anyone achieved this with an Iphone and could you offer any tips pls. I guess it may be an Iphone setting.

You cannot get emails, texts can be read but not replied to - and this can be a bit intermittent. These are restrictions that apple put in place on their Bluetooth stack.

On your phone go to the Bluetooth settings, touch the i next to the Lexus device and make sure send notifications is turned on.

Thanks vey much thats a shame but not surprised by apple restrictions. Thanks again. I don't suppose you know how to mute the nav voice during a phone call ? The dealer did not know and short of reducing voice volume I have not found a way
