The Dangers Of Not Wearing Your Seat Belt

An old friend of mine had a car accident in Nottingham City Centre on New Years eve in his MR2. Apparently he lost it on a corner and hit his car straight into a brick wall. He wasn't wearing a seat belt and on impact he went straight through the windscreen and hit his head on the brick wall.

He had been on a life support machine until this morning, when his family decided to have it turned off. He sadly passed away this morning.

Who knows, if he was wearing his seat belt maybe he would have still been here today. :(

A very sad time for all involved, especially as he was enganged to be married next month. He was 26 years old.

So sorry to hear that mate... reminds you to always wear it.... even if just nipping round the corner.

I never ever used to wear mine ( just wasn`t comfy), but i always make sure i wear it now.. i also know someone who lost their life through not wearing it.

Who decided to turn off the life support machine as it seems a bit early to me?

when i had my accident i was on one for approx 4 weeks,but on the second night and after 2 operations

my family were told i probably wouldn't make it through the w/end,that was over 3 1/2 years ago now.

I guess the family made the decision with DR's advise....
