Nice motor, i have been monitoring this thread. I am also looking for something comfortable, having had an Audi A8 4.2 and BMW 550i in the past, both gave me troubles around the 90k mark with gearbox issues and various other things so i am staying away from the German big three, i want something more durable and different.

How are you finding the ride quality? is there much wind noise or tyre noise? (big deal breaker for me this).

the 430, limited edition and the SEL have real road presence

Cheers Mark.

Still getting used to the car but so far really pleased with it. The ride is exactly what I was looking for, it's quiet, smooth and for a big car feels very sure footed. The real bonus in terms of ride is it has a sport suspension mode which firms the ride up but doesn't detract from the ride quality.

The tyres that are fitted to the car are ones I've never heard of (ECT) but to be fair they seem to handle well and road noise is a sort of waft rather than being intrusive. I will be investigating what was originally fitted to the car and will probably change them in due course.

How many key/fobs should the car come with? 2

Never having driven one I'm interested in the suspension settings, how firm/sporty is the sport setting, and what can I expect from the normal setting?

Sport is tighter but not as tight as aftermarket coils or drop springs.

Some of the American GS430's have a rear blind, is this the same with the UK version? this is an added option

What is the real life MPG, from my research it's going to be a little heavier than my IS300 Sportcross, does this seem realistic?18city 22hwy

I have done an awful lot of research and I think I have a reasonably good knowledge of the car but if anyone can offer any advise on things to look out for I would be grateful for your input.
