Is there a way to stop the trip computer from reseting every time the car is turned off, I remember my VW only doing it if the car was turned off for two hours I think.

Gets a bit annoying if I have stopped for a short break on a long trip, only to find it reset, just means I can’t get an mpg figure for the whole journey.

I have 2 mpg settings. One from last fill that resets after each refuel and one that will only manually reset. I've never reset this so this is the mpg since I got the car. It's easy to set up in option screen. I can send screen shot if necessary.

I'm thinking more for a single journey, I've set up both trips as mentioned, but it will reset as soon as the car is switched off, annoying if I'm half way through a journey.

I have the same issue, previous VW's and Audi's only automatically reset after 2 hours which is ideal (and well thought out) for long journeys. Also I get annoyed that the music system can't be used without the key in the accessory position, again VW/Audi allow this which is great if you leave a passenger in the car.

There are 3 mpg options, after start, after refuel, after reset.

The after start one resets every time you start, or more accurately, turn on the ignition. No way I know of to delay this, its hard wired.

I use after refuel and after reset.

Hi everyone,

I agree with comments above, It's slightly annoying, but I'm not using the feature, so...

slightly off topic, but still re trip computer:

Is there any way to reset/measure trip distance?

I scrolled through menus and it seems to only displaying/reset fuel consumption.

Thx for your help,

K

There are 2, A and B. Press the Odo button down under the clocks, near the ASC control to cycle through them.

Well I didn't know that. I didn't have a clue about the odo button. I'll have a play tomorrow. Thanks Steve.
