Rx Interior Door Handle Light Bulbs...

Two stupid questions...

Now it's darker, I noticed last night that three of my doors on the inside, have those little courtesy lights by the door handle ( and footwells etc ) but my driver door doesn't.

Is that intentional(?) or is it more likely that a bulb has gone?

If so, how does one change the bulb, or does it require some bizarre faceted, diamond encrusted device to do it?

Sounds like the bulb has gone. No idea how to change it though. Sorry.

Took it to Japex in Herts.

Brilliant service.

Turned out to be a disconnected wire.

Took them 5 minutes to sort.

What RX do you have? I haven't noticed these lights on our 2012 RX450h F Sport. I'm assuming this only came on later models or the Premier?

Just a humble RX300 ( old school ). 2003

I've got a rx300 sel from 2003 and I haven't noticed these lights. Where are they on the door? In the handle recess ? I have footwell lights and handle lights would be good. If you could show a photo of the handle light I would appreciate it.

Possibly they were an option.

When it's dark, and the ignition is on, ALL 4 inside door handle recesses have an orange light.

You cannot miss them.

My non working one was a detached cable behind the door panel.

You can also get the dealer to adjust the brightness in all these ambient lights.
