Wheel Alignment

went to have the old wheels aligned, and my local fitter said he wasnt able to do it on a lexus, something about all different settings

he said he wouldnt want to mess anything up, respect for his honesty

but am now wondering what lexus will charge for it?

and was he right?

i would rather have it right and cost more than have it wrong

Lexus will charge 1 to 2 hours labour, which with their rates is expensive and then never seem to do a proper job

It does seem very difficult to find somebody that can do it correctly.

Local Lexus shop use Roadwheel in Fleet, Hampshire - were Bagshot, Surrey till summer 2003.

Only people I'd trust to touch alignment on my motors.

From memory, rough cost for 4 wheel alignment check & adjust was ~£70.

ny good tyre garage will set it for you mate,take a print copy of the settings off colin and give it to the garage if unsure,why get ripped off its only half an hours work

Try Protyre, they charge £11.00 a corner and all four wheels take about an hour.

www.protyre.co.uk, only problem is that their outlets are in the south.

Elite in essex use john beam laser alignment system, £35.00

I always drive there to get my cars done, even my 80mm lowered MK1 golf got done there :D

i get 4 wheel lazer tracking done local to my workshops.....

it costs me €60 for all 4 wheels, and takes about half an hour

they also balance the wheels ON THE CAR for an extra €20

I got mine done recently at Micheldever Tyres in Hants and the 4 wheel check with 2 alignment was £25.

If there rears are then out you can rebook it in to have them done. They only book 1 car a day though as they say some can take ages.

My rears are very slightly out, (for toe in I think) but he said it could take a while as you have to play with the camber too to get the right setup.

The place has a good rep though.

they seemed a very competant set up

mainly specialise in skylines

very pleased all round
