So I collected the IS300h F-Sport yesterday! Its 2 years old, being an early 63 plate but only has 10k miles on it! Its from Lexus Chester who made the whole experience very painless so hats off to them.

The worst part of the experience was actually traveling to collect - it took 2 hours just to get to Chester and it was only 70 miles away - M62 is so 5hite!

On the way back the car took us straight through Warrington - no idea why, bit of an awkward nav system compared to the RX450h but Ill play with the settings and see what I can do.

Ill post pics later on today!

Just one question though - is there a way to get the indicator beeps to become louder? They're so quiet that sometimes I can't tell that they're on - not to mention the indicator stalk (different from the RX450h) which I'm still getting used to.

hi Rayaan

what time did you collect the car i left lexus chester at 15.00 yesterday.

i have only had mine for 1 month ,i came from a ct.

in the ct i had become used to the indicators clicking into place and it doesn't happen in the IS.

overall i am really happy i changed from the ct,the biggest thing i miss is a rear wiper.

if you use the Bluetooth handsfree system ,make sure your contatcs are stored on your phone

as it wont read them directly from your sim, also short names in your phone book can be troublesome

to dial handsfree,i have had to change kath to katherine in the phone book and it dials 1st time now.

if these are the only issues i have then the car is virtually perfect.

Glad you've got the car, congratulations. Funny you should mention the indictors. As today was the first real run of note with my Wife in the car. She said exactly the same thing about them.

As with any other car I've owned. The click is more pronounced, and the stalk is at an angle.

I'm not too bothered really. I just need to get the touch sensitivity for the 1st stage '3' flash, instead of selecting the constant, and not realising they are still on.

So here are the photos! There are some light scratches and swirls Ive noticed so will need to give it a good polish once I get the time! You'll have to click on the pictures to see them properly as some of the edges are cut off in the thumbnails

What a lovely pair lol

I haven't come across a setting that allows you to change the indicator volume. I found getting used to the gentle pressure on the stalk resulting in the 3 or 5 "lane departure" flashes a bit of a challenge to start with. However, like most things, I became accustomed to it and now think it's very useful.

Tell the wife to mind those lovely wheels, although I'm sure she a brilliant driver and parking is a breeze lol

New RX to match next on the hit list?

Yup new RX is on the list but will have to see it first! I like the look but depends on the spec and of course pricing is an issue!

I've told her to park it a foot away from the kerb lol. Luckily she doesn't park on roads, mostly in supermarket car parks (she takes my car sometimes - I dread it but it hasnt been dinged yet!) so not many kerbs to be afraid of!

Looks amazing, love the red leather interior on a white exterior. In my opinion the best combination!

Kind words Dean!

Hmm, Ill be honest though, although I like that the paint is white to a point where it makes other cars look yellow or blue (take note Audi - Glacier white is blue, not white), I don't think it looks as nice overall as the Arctic Pearl or Sonic White!

sounds about average. I've just taken a job in Crewe (used to work there before), 65miles back to yorkshire and easily 2 hours if setting off at the wrong time. Takes me on average 2.5 hours from coventry where I am now which is 150miles....

No ML on the IS. When I tested the RX back to back, ML and non ML there was a difference. With the IS, the difference is so small that getting the ML in the IS is a waste of money.

Its about 95% of the RX ML system. The only difference being that ML is slightly crisper but not by much
