Hello to you all.

Managed to finally sort out my wobble under braking - turned out to be a F/O/S warped hub - hurray!

However now 6 months later - just developed an intermittent violent steering wheel wobble which can occur at any driving speed over 35 mph - this does not appear to be linked to braking.

Wheels balanced and ball joints replaced - any notion as what I should try next..?

Thank you.

Sounds like that could be wheel balancing problems, worth having it checked out. Mike.

Thanks Mike - yet already tried this.

Any other ideas?

Cheers.

Sorry cant think of any thing else it could be, I am sure someone will be along soon to give you more ideas. Mike.

A few questions ...

Did you change both discs?

Is the wheel tight (gotta ask !)?

Are the calipers seized?

What make were the discs?

Both discs changes and yes wheels tight! (cannot recall disc make yet not some cheap stuff).

My mechanic has checked the callipers which seem to be fine...?

Any ideas?

Cheers.

Good chance that this problem is the front tyres, swap rear wheels to front and see what happens.

The above suggestion is a good call.

Egged tyres also cause some utterly bizarre handling issues, tyres should eb checked for round and for inner ply separation.

is the tracking/alignment ok?
