Lexus Roadside Assistance?

Recommended Posts

Am I right in believing you get 3 years Lexus roadside Assistance when buying a new car?

As I have nothing in my documentation to say so.

I am expecting a follow up car from the Lexus guy in the next 2 days. So will ask the too, along with a couple

of gripes:

Cleaning:

The passenger side dash has water/cleaner marks on the surface

The rear leather seats had marks on them

The glass on the dails have a water mark on them, so when the sunlight hits it, it is obscured.

Yes, I could clean them myself, but this is not the finish I'd expect for a new car.

When my Honda had a service, it came back cleaner than that.

On a brighter note, I do like the BMW's and Merc's slowing down to gorp :driving:

I got 3 years Lexus assist, it also covered my wife and her car. I'm sure if you take it back they will clean it. My (soon to be previous) employer are based a 2 min walk from the dealer I bought my car from. When it went in for warranty work they cleaned it for me, and when I joked I'd have to bring in every couple of weeks they actually genuinely offered to wash it for free if I didn't have time and didn't mind leaving it with them for the day (at least I think she was been genuine).

forgot to mention, a form for the assist came in the post the week after buying the car and had to send off a tear off panel with wifes details to add her to the policy.

Ah, that's good to know. I guess the Lexus guy forgot to mention that would happen.

Thank you

David.

Yup 3 years with a new car.

This is one reason why I don't buy cars when the new plate comes out - they get so busy that they rush the prep. Highly likely you'll find scratches and swirls on the car too :/

If you value your paint finish then avoid dealer washes. They use industrial strength traffic film remover applied with a gritty brush blasted off with a hugely powerful pressure washer.

My f sport was covered in swirls as a result.

Fortunately Lexus paint is soft enough to fairly easily polish and my paint is looking superb once more with a decent layer of wax applied.

I now specifically say no to them washing it.

Dealer washes are the work of the devil!!

My car was in Lexus dealer for a recall and they cleaned and washed car before I got it back..... I had to phone and complain on condition of car... It was cleaner before they got it...

When I recieved it back the interior looked like it had been cleaned with a dirty cloth and all surfaces had been left with a residue on all surfaces.. Was that bad I could barely see emv touch screen, kids complained they couldn't see TV screen in back due to a milky residue on screen..all wood panels had smear marks on it ... I could go on all night about Lexus cleaning car but won't ....

Car had to return to them the following week and I asked (no I demanded) their valeter doesn't go anywhere near my car
