Merrily tootling along the M56 this morning over took a wagon, i was doing about 85mph and h01y *****.... rear passenger tyre went pop!!

Thought i was going to have to do a fast and the furious and go under the trailer of the truck i was passing, but then remembered i wasn`t in a Caterham!!!!

Managed to get the car to the hard shoulder safely, took the wheel off to find a BIG nail stuck in the rubber!!! ( why is it always raining when you need to change a wheel??)

Anyway, had to drive home with that ugly space saver wheel on.... feeling a right idiot!!!

I`m used to people looking at the car..... but not in that way!!! very shown up to say the least..... My wife still has the shakes now!!! poor gal!

How long was the nail? You were very lucky it wasn't one of the front wheels. Glad you and the missus are ok though!

Seriously, thanks for the concern guys!! Yeah the Altezza comes with a space saver, my wheel wouldn`t fit in the wheel cavity anyway....

No idea how long the nail was, never took it out!

Maybe i should have took a picture with the space saver on..... and had one of those competions where you make up a caption!!!
