dont trust your insurance company to get your insurance right.i have been with aviva for 5 years now but this year they screwed up.

my insurance renewal is the 11th August and i bought my IS on the 1st August there was no extra charge for the 10 days but from the 11th

my insurance would go up by £90 happy with that,i manage my account online but i couldn't download my documents so on the 16th i rang aviva

to get my documents posted to me,i received them on the 22/08/2015 only to see my insurance documents showing my previous cars reg,

i have checked with askmid.com and my IS is uninsured according to the database, aviva charged me the premium for the CT i had before and not the

IS renewal price, so i'm really hacked off with them now,i need to see the database say i'm insured otherwise i am at risk of being stopped all the time for no insurance,

sods law states it will happen when i am running late for work.

Before it changed names I think it was called Norwich Union, their catchphrase was "Quote me Happy"

I asked for a quote and it was horrendous more like quote me wappy.

I was with quote me happy 2 years ago. Very good price and I bought it. However for the past year they've been quoting ridiculously expensive prices

still not on the database ,it does say on askmid.com "please note that the MID is not instantly updated with your policy
record and may take a few days before being recorded on the MID.
"so i may have to give it untill tuesday, but if it isn't

done by then i dont know what i will do,besides change insurance company ,i have already metioned to them if it isn't sorted very soon

i have a price from the esure group that i will take ,and that i dont epect any admin charges to be applied and it will be a full refund that i

expect and want to receive.

tomorrow they are ringing me at 12.30 ish (may be) so lets see what they have to say then.

What does your online account have as insured vehicle and reg? If its the Is then why worry but you could always call them to check. I am with them and alway found them super helpful when I have needed to call. Transition from CT to IS was seemless and change of reg when private plate transfer completed was done via phone in a couple of minutes

when i finally managed to log in my old details where showing, and on www.askmid.com the ct was still insured and the IS wasnt.

this morning the mid details had changed showing my car as insured.

i have been with them for 5 years and they have been great its just this time i have had an issue.

the woman i dealt with when i told them of the change of car didn't inform the renewals department so the renewal went through

10 days later on the ct ,but since aviva knew i had informed them of the change of car they told me i would of been insured as it had been an internal error

and emailed documents to confrim this in case i need to proved my insurance status.

the positive outcome is that this year i am only paying the premium for the ct and not the IS so i have saved £90 then today i have wangled a further £55

gesture of goodwill on top.
