Chrome Exhaust Tips

I don't know if this is tacky or not but I was thinking of putting chrome tips on my tail pipes. Mine is a 2000 model and the pipes turn down at the ends so I don't even know if there is anything that fits. Has anyone else done this?

Ha ha, well I can draw on my pension from October. I don't want to make it look like it has a pair of rockets sticking out the back, but just want to make it look a little smarter.

Changing the subject slightly. I've been offered a set of 4 good ls430 wheels with excellent rubber on them for £400. The tyres on mine are ok but will need replacing before too long so do you reckon this would be a good idea to buy them now?

looks great but was it necessary to cut off the rear pipes and weld stainless pipes on before fitting the tips? Is it possible to just cut them off vertically where they turn down and fit the tips on?
