Went out to the car today and noticed a nice dent on the rear passenger door. There's red paint around it. No chance of catching the scum.

Pic below (with added Son included)

Checking YouTube for support in getting it out.

That is just so annoying, careless bar stewards. Shinerepair.com have just done a super job for me, don't know whether they operate where you are. Wasn't the same damage but might be worth a shout. Good luck with it.

Too many inconsiderate :tsktsk: around today !!!

At least it doesn't look like it will be too bad for one of the many PDR companies to deal with.

DJP,

One positive, think we made a good choice on the Sonic T. Still shining.

We have to look for a Shine Repair over here in Ireland!

Try heating the dent with a hairdryer and when very hot spray with one of the compressed air duster things held upside down so the propellant hits the dent, its very cold and the temp change might pop it out or very nearly

Driving through Coventry last night, some little sh!ts throwing rocks at cars. I now have a large dent and no paint in 1" square area. Think its a good job by the time i'd stopped they had ran away as I think otherwise i'd have had a dented car and a criminal record. Why did nothing like this happen to my 10 year old Mazda!!!

I bought smart insurance when i bought the car, hopefully that will cover it, just submitted a claim online.

What a nightmare! As you say, probably a good job you didn't catch them. Smart have done a great job for me on a couple of occasions. Fingers crossed it falls within the parameters of the policy. At least it didn't smash a window and hurt anyone

I have a couple of these dents which you cant really notice unless pointed to. I'm going to get round to fixing them some time next month. Lucky for you that its on a door and not the rear 1/4.

I would guess it's cheaper to replace the door than to fix it. Swapping over the locks, cards etc... seems to be fairly easy. If you're handy with a paint gun and filler you could repair it yourself pretty cheap.

Next time you feel like going out and spending some cash take a look at the 360* security camera systems you can buy. For the 4 corners they look like parking sensors and on top of that have front and back facing interior camera's. A friend has one and apart from the obvious great footage you get on great road it helps insurance companies catch the culprit and brings down your premiums.
