Hot Stalling And Front Seat Heaters That Dont Work

Has anyone had the problem of hot stalling - say on the A1 - come to a roundabout and Lexus 400 Mark III stalls - have to put it in neutral - turn key and then it goes all right until next roundabout. Am told it might be some sort of throttle potentiometer?? - has two bolts which connects it to engine casing - costs £184??? Anyone heard of this gizmo?

Other minor problem I have is that can't get two front seat heaters working - checked fuses - seem OK - are there any specific fuses under the seats - lights come on when you push the buttons on the dash but no heat ???

Also how does the rear seat cushion come out??

I have know Idea what it could be but does seem strange ..who told you about this gizmo and diid they specifically say what it does.. and I assume that with you posting in this thread its a gs400???? not an ls400???

I guess you are talking about the thottle position sensor. That could well be the cause of the problem.

Did you manage to sort out the problem re the hot stalling and cold seats.

I too have the same problem. It started about 2 weeks ago whilst on a trip to the airport. When i stopped at the roundabout it stalled. It has done this a couple of times now although never on short trips.

I would also be interested to know what action you took regarding the seats as mine barely heat up. Think we must have the same car!!

Any help offered would be appreciated.
