Buzzing/humming Sound Coming From Front Of Car While Accelerating

Hi Piers,

It hasn't been resolved yet, I checked brakes etc but no issue found, at the moment she's living with it and it's not got worse. No idea what it could be, we're just praying that it's nothing bad !!

It might be worth taking it to a Lexus dealer (or independant) just for them to take a quick look at it ...

They may be able to give you some indication what's wrong without it costing you anything also it may be cheaper if it's fixed sooner rather than later ...

It could be nothing but if it's a bearing & it seizes you won't be able to drive it so make sure you have a good breakdown cover.

Steve mentioned a good option in another post, if you haven't read it ..

If you take it to Lexus, you can ask them to do a visual safety check (it's free) they may pick up on the noise when it's moved?

Plus you'll have an idea of anything else they pick up on, low pads, corroded pipes etc.

They'll also wash it for you and send a video to your email of the findings!

Just thought I'd let you all know that it was indeed a wheel bearing, the Mrs eventually got it looked at by our local garage and they sorted it out, no more buzzing/humming !
