New Kind Of Audio Problem: 2 Minutes Without Sound

Hi all there,

After a period of upgrading with new software, it looked if I was going into a smooth period with my Lexus IS300h.

Unfortunately, since about 2 weeks it takes about 2 - 3 minutes (!) for the audio to start up... My radio works (even with DAB+ in The Netherlands) and I also get messages in the screen from traffic and station info, but no sound. During these minutes it is also impossible to change the volume. Nothing happens. The navigation starts up fine, but also without audio. Seems like the loudspeakers needs a lot of time to initialize...

I tried to disable Bluetooth, turned my Iphone off, etc. etc. but no effect.

I already have software version VD12102C installed, and no other problems like this audio-silence.

Anyone of you any ideas or the same problems?

One of our members was experiencing audio drop outs for several seconds which turned out to be a poor connection on one of the audio units (head unit, amp, nav etc). This seems like a similar issue.

If it takes that long to start working then your dealer should be able to diagnose the issue quite easily.

Update: I went to the dealer yesterday and they found the amplifier to be broken. Thursday they will built in a new one ;-)
