The NX300h Luxury in Sonic Titanium with Ivory has arrived after a 6 month wait. The build quality inside and out is a revelation, and in the metal the car has a sculptural quality that makes X3s and Q5s seem dated and utilitarian. Despite the inflexibility over specifications in the UK about which I posted earlier I think the Luxury spec is probably the sweet spot in the range in value terms. BTW I've found the forum really helpful in choosing spec and accessories, as well as deciding to order in the first place, so thanks to other contributors for that. Not sure yet whether the NX will be a 10-year affair like the Prius it's replacing. A plug-in version might make earlier replacement tempting, and an NX450h - if the drivetrain fits - would also be an interesting proposition.

Congrats, same colour and spec as ours.Enjoy.

Congrats. I have ordered the same Luxury and colour but with panoramic roof. It looks brilliant I have to say. I hope you enjoy it, I am sure you will. Report back after a few good runs. Mine due in Sept, but I have a feeling it may be longer than that.

I agree, the Luxury does seem to be the best to go for, especially if you want the softer ride. I do like the look of the Sport, but the sport suspension put me off.

I saw my first NX today, parked at my local sports centre. I had to do a double take. lol

We have had ours since November and have only spotted six since then.

Delighted, thanks. Only 500 miles so far, still getting between 44 and 46 mpg whether in town, m'way or cross country. Finding seats a little lacking in lumbar support, and secondary ride could be better, but minor niggles compared with great design, general smoothness and refinement. Only a month to go for you? Surprised to hear your comment about the seats i think they are the best and most comfortable i have had in a car.

They are generally pretty comfortable, and by no means the worst that I've had - but I could use a little extra lower back support. It makes it the more irritating that Lexus make NX seats with adjustable lumbar support but restrict them to the top trim grades.

I may have to wait longer. I was told September, maybe October, but from what I read on the forum it could be longer. Grrrrrr. I may just ring them later in the week to see if there is any update.

Last week of September it seems, or at least about then, I bet it will be longer. :(

I was told over the weekend a factory order (ie not in stock) would be three months. Whether I believe them is another question. That was an h premier spec at an astonishing £45k. In reality I think luxury with a few extras at 38k is more what we'd do.

You'll probably all laugh but the alternative is the jeep Cherokee. Also 38k and similar spec regarding toys and tech. Obviously diesel rather than hybrid.

Jeep are offering discounts too but the residuals will be worse. Swings and roundabouts...

No discounts given I'm assuming? 3 months isn't that long tbf. My brother in law waited 2 years for an A5 in 2009 in black with cinnamon leather lol

Most new cars built to order are 3 months or more these days, well at least those that are made outside the UK. When I ordered in June I was told September and the last update it was the last week of that month. I expect by the time I get my hands on it, it will be early Oct. A friend of mine ordered a new mini in June as well, she was told 6 weeks! which I thought at the time was ambitious. She chased it last week and has now been told it will be September. She is quite annoyed as she has a buyer her old car and may miss out on the sale. She will be even more annoyed if I get mine before her. :)
