It's a shame tho, as the Indy specialists do a far better job and at far better cost

I know exactly what your saying but I would only buy an ISF with full Lexus services unless I knew and used before the stamped Indy in question. But buying an ISF is quite often a far distance purchase.

After much deliberation I opted for an Indy service, actually my brother in laws best friend, ALL genuine Lexus parts, ALL 8 plugs, last 2 plugs take around 2 to 3 hrs to do, the cost was £450, book stamped, albeit NOT Lexus, BUT I know that my car has had ALL that the 60k service requires.

Where did you have yours done?

Had it done at C.H Motors, he's my brother in laws best friend, will only use genuine parts, he bought the service parts from Lexus, has all the up to date diagnostic equipment, I trust him 100%,.....he even advised me mine has a very small hole in one of the manifold pipes, can be heard on start up for about 10sec, Lexus told me this noise is normal 😳, He laughed n said that's total @@@@@@@@ so I will be booking it in under warranty to be sorted, then back to him to be assured it has been......

I thought it was normal too. Mine always sounded different for the first 10 seconds.

He got it up on the ramps, got his colleague to start it from cold so he could hear it better, said it's definitely a very small blown hole from the underside of one of the manifold pipes, said it quietens down fast as they run very hot, very quickly, so I'll keep u posted incase theirs other with the same issue

Yes, that's them

So you've used both "Westfield Motors" in Rawreth and C.H. Motors? I'm in Ilford so both equally handy. The desciding factor could be that the wife enjoys a day out in Rayleigh.

I think it's like anything. Depends on where you want to go and what youre happy with. Sort of like buying new cars and demos. Some would never buy a demo and others don't really care.

Personally I'd be looking at FLSH if purchasing an IS-F. After all its a premium brand and it's not exactly a cheap car to own or run. If you're paying £500 for road tax, what's an extra £500 for a service hey?

Yes Terry, used both, both FAR BETTER than Lexus, both half the price too, I for one like to know that what I've paid for has actually been done, Lexus missed my 60k service, I've also had two previous IS's that had "main dealer" history, both NOT carried out as the service schedule, so I'd rather have a VERY GOOD Indy stamp and also know it's been serviced correctly, both indy's advise, they don't create work, unlike my main dealer experience, my IS250 was owned from new and never saw a Lexus dealer
