I'm doing a TV change and all are slightly weeping.

Lexus wanted

£52.15 per cam seal and £46.63 for crank seal.

Also need rocker cover gaskets which were just under £17 a side from lexus uk

This is over £200 in seals alone,

anyone know a better supplier with a sensible price?

Thanks all

hi jake

i dont think any of the regular guys have done major surgery like this on their engines

however you need to mention which LS you got so members can answer your question

p.s what is s TV?

Sorry.

I meant to put TB (timing belt) not TV.

Its a 98 do a vvti engine.

cams out for seal changes as I understand, anyone got a manual write up for this procedure?

would be handy, they are only slightly weeping and if I can't find them at a sensible price I shall ignore it.

Thanks

Jake

One of our members as within the last month done this task and documented and posted pics of the procedure including the sourcing of parts, check it out in the archives. "Cambelt Change by tinonline"

Ambermarine,

Do you have a link?

I tried searching but can only find threads where tinonline talks about his intention to change the belt?

I've got my belt off all fine, just need to decided on these seals!

No details of cam seals changes or any pictures that I can find!

Thanks
