What does cannot insure you due to licence type mean held full licence since 1983

?? don't know what that could be - did you pass your test in an automatic car - if you did you wont be eligible to drive a manual ... cant think of any others apart from in excess of 12 points?

Have you picked the wrong licence type in the menu when getting a quote? Easily done - I couldn't understand why my quotes a while ago were for large sums of money, till I realised I'd declared zero no-claims in the drop-down menu box!

No was on a compare site got loads of quotes this one was in with them unable to quote licence type.

Strange, that one. Unless it was from an insurer/broker that only quotes if you've got a licence other than a UK one?

The best place to get an answer would be the insurer that was "unable" to quote licence type.

Assume you were getting a quote for a car, certain licence types cannot hire minibus/7.5 tonner truck

Yes just a car my licence has van 7.5 tonne truck trailer all on, a strange answer never had before.

I just know the newer licences nowadays are very basic, whereas us old farts automatically have minibus and trucks etc, the new passed don't

I only know this because my wife being American had to take her test here, and had very little on her licence that i have

Just thought if maybe your were getting a quote on a minibus etc your licence would not be valid, but you must be an oldish fart lol

Yes i am mate over 50 so every thing on their never been refused before , bit of a strange one to say the least still cant want my money eh.

Its up for renewel begining of august thought i would just see what kind of quotes i get. It was 1983 when i passed not 2003 as stated.

Must admit when i go on the compare sites its always funny to see the quotes range from 300ish up to 2000 for them same details

Good luck, I'm an insurance slut, the renewal quote is usually a joke so I just go somewhere else

I always look around and then phone my current insurer who has always drastically reduced the renewal quote. I have found that having both cars and my house buildings and contents cover has reduced all premiums on these.

No didnt ring was more shocked by the answer to be honest, its gone up a bit from the Vrs with Lv so wont be with them thats for sure.

On a different note what size are the lexus wheel rings do all toyota fit.
