Metal Pin

Was under bonnet cleaning plasic engine cover, at the front near the grill are 2 metal pins one is missing does anybody

know what they are called or part no.

It is the front radiator cap pannal.

Does the pin have a large rubber washer on it - if so it could be the bonnet slam washer that allows you to adjust slightly the height of the bonnet to align with other panels

No just had a look its a spring clip where the square cut out is its the opposite side. Strange all plastic clips exept them 2.

Look just like these.

Right took metal spring clip out, and replaced with 2 black push in like the rest looks right now and more to the point works.

You are right in what you have done - it just looks like someone has used different metal push lock clips from the standard OEM ones that's all. The clips do pop out for no reason and go walkies.

They are easy to buy from eBay and don't cost much

Happy days if that's all that goes wrong with it .....
