Well they've finally made it official that Chris Evans is going host the show. Good choice in my opinion. Hope it goes well for him.

Today's press says James May and Richard Hammond aren't involved in the new Top Gear.

Evans says there's definitely going to be a female in the new lineup - I only hope its not the truly awful, wooden, ill-at-ease-on-TV Jodie Kidd....she might be able to drive, but her presenting skills are zilch!

Evans is all about....Evans, really. His breakfast show is dire, self-congratulatory and banal - and he talks...and talks....and talks.....too much, to put it mildly.

Top Gear had, in its last format, perhaps become a bit jaded and 'samey', but I did think the latest series had pulled it back a bit. It doesn't matter who the BBC put on stage, it won't be Top Gear any more...they should have had the courage to completely rebrand it, not hope that the previous glories magically attach to new presenters. They won't!

Think evans will choose Jodie kidd myself, Clarkson has said hamster and may are doing a show with him coming out shortly.

Also said he was offered the job back, before Chris evans took it seems a strange one that.

Well that was brilliant! Never laughed so much in ages. What a way to go!

Was at work last night so missed it, they did have there funny moments at times, seemed like it had run its coarse under present management.

Get rid of the studio audience and they have no one to show how funny they aren't and to take the P**s out of as well as trying to impress the females how macho they aren't, no audience works a treat, its the first one I have watched from start to finish without fast forwarding it and I even managed a laugh every now and then.
