I've had the car less than a week, but have decided to treat it to some new discs and pads - the current discs are quite 'lipped', and as the parts don't seem too pricey, it seemed the right thing to do.

Anyway, I've bought some Blue Print-branded rear discs, Delphi fronts. I've only just realised that the IS250 seems to have had either solid or vented rears fitted. My new ones are vented, and I can't tell which ones are on the car as the backplate is so close to the disc.

If I've bought the wrong ones, can they be fitted in place of the solids (if that's what I've got)? Or am I going to have to return them (foc as they're from Amazon)?

No you cannot fit vented if they are solid, im in same situation as yourself hoping to take wheel off today weather stopped play.

Thanks for the quick reply, appreciated! I just did a Forum search on rear discs - looking at the rear size compared to the fronts, I've got solids! Shame really. They don't have the solids, so I think I'll look for Delphis to match the fronts.

I did wonder - I suppose postage would be a killer though. amazon say I get 28 days to return them, free of charge, for a full refund, so I might stick them on here - I think they fit GS models too.

Its on 85k. Only MoT'd last Tuesday, and everythings working OK (apparently....). I'd read about the sticking calipers, so that was part of the plan - new discs/pads all round, strip and clean everything while I'm at it.
