Hi, new IS250 SE-L owner here, just checking in!

I picked up my 56-plate motor last night, and I'm a happy bunny. :) 85k miles recorded, Lexus history up to 59k, then serviced at a local garage - its due a service now, so I'm collecting parts and a (very!) competent friend is going to do it for me. Everything seems to work properly, the car seems to have been really well looked after (no parking dings/scrapes, the interior's almost like new, unmarked wheels) and it drives like a dream. Actually, it feels surprisingly 'tight' for an 85k-miles motor....no squeaks, rattles etc, I was very impressed when I first drove it, and the 45 mile drive home seemed to confirm that its a very well screwed together car.

I spent a few hours last night going through the handbook....why is the navigation manual soooo big?!!....and picked up quite a bit of useful info.

Looking forward to spending some time on here - before buying the car, I spent an age reading through the various sections researching the IS250. I almost went for a 220d, but wanted an auto....and there do seem to be a few 'd' issues that put me off too.
