Battery Issues On Gs450h

I am in the market for an old gs450h (£11,000 budget). The only worry I have is the Battery failing of which I have heard a few reports with cars around 9 years old (56 plate). Is this a common problem when the car gets to this age or is it just a few isolated cases?. I would hate to get one and have a huge bill after only a year or two. Any comments would be helpful. Thanks all.

I've only heard of a couple of issues and they have been repairable from a specialist. There aren't too many GS450h in the country but no reason the think those Battery packs would be any less reliable than a Prius or RX400h. The transmission is the problem area on the GS450h but that seems to be an easy fix - take a look in the GS forum.
