Hard Wiring For Dashcam

I am after advise please on the best way to hardwire a dashcam.

I dont see why more people have not used the rear view mirror? you can tuck the cig lighter (which is all that is used to get 5v supply) under the roof trim.

else you can hack into the fuse box and trail the wiring around the a pillar.

I took out the ciggy lighter panel from console. I spliced into the wires and added a new fuse/connector. I clipped off the ciggy plug off the dash cam and put a suitable connector on.

The dashcam wire was then routed behind the dash into the centre console where it plugged into my new connector which had been spliced into the ciggy lighter wires.

Piggy back from the audio fuse.

Make sure your camera is 12v before hard wiring. If it's less, you need to put a resistor into the circuit.
