............. looks a bit of a good buy to me ........... the cambelt shoudn't need doing for 3 years or so .......... if I was thinking of changing mine I would certainly go have a look and take some cash with me to steal it from the owner at maybe £1800 ............ :whistling:

Not my first choice of colour, but it does look nice. I know they're becoming harder to find, but it is still a 17 year old car. Woking isn't that far from me, may be worth a drive.

yes nice and clean - colour lets it down for me - gold seems to fade on the wing mirrors and bonnet

Looking at the last service, it was over 2 years ago, though the mileage is only 3000 per year. I like this colour combination but the cam belt and alloys would need attention.

Yes, looks good but wrong colour for me. Interior looks lovely. Just sold my MX5 so looking out for a new LS400 too!

This is now sitting on my drive :)

Not quite as described, but I didn't quite pay the asking price so happy all round!

Just getting it perfected and sorting the niggles out!

Well done, even if you had paid the asking price I think it looks a good buy. I must admit, although I said I wouldn't go back to an LS400, I was very tempted, especially as it wasn't that far from me. Keep us posted on how it works out, we're always interested.

I'll start a new thread on it soon :)

No real issues other than blowing centre section of exhaust I plan to repair and a wheel bearing that I'm hoping will adjust up and be okay!

Already sorted washer level sensor and polished the faded headlights up :)

I have on order;

cambelt, tensioner, water pump, air filter, fuel filter, oil filter, cabin filter, fan belt, spark plugs, ATF oil, diff oil and engine oil. :)

Also plan to clean throttle body, any ideas where to source a gasket cheaper than lexus OEM?

And valve clearances will be checked, are the rocker cover seals usually okay to re use?

also anyone done a guide for checking these on a mk4?

Cheers guys! :D

hopefully going to end up well sorted and last a few years!
