Guys - I know we are severely depleted on numbers of cars here compared to the US, but we also seem a very tame lot in comparison to our US cousins on general modding (not always a bad thing).

Two areas I am interested in are retro fitting a mechanical slippy diff to the pre-2010 cars and also custom exhaust manifolds. I'm just curious if anyone has looked at either?

In particular, I have seen these exhaust manifolds for the ISF - any thoughts on this mod from those better informed than me? www.ppeengineering.com/products/lexus/isf.php

Thanks

You are better off importing from the America imo as you point out more of a market and as such companies have spent a lot of time and money developing such mods. No idea re the mechanical diff. I am sure one can be fitted to replace the electrically controlled diff but unless you track the car is waste money I think.

+1 on the diff. Its just not needed, was put on after 2010 just for marketing reasons.

i disagree the limited slip diff should have been fitted from day one.

all the open diff does is apply the brake to the lighter side.

400bhp to 1 wheel. my old altezza had a LSD and the supra.

its the main reason i sold my 09 isf

the 2010 models have the LSD and the electronic system.

ppe headers seam to be very good for the money. ill be bring a set back in October. ill order them through titan Motorsport and pick them up and ship them myself, if they do not fit in my spare case.

last year i brought back swift lowering springs ,15 mm spacers and a s4play rear lower defuser.

novel headers look good but at£7000 a bit pricey

Agree the PPE downpipes look interesting, not sure if the primary cats are deleted with these (?) - would be an interesting exercise, I'd like someone to install them for me as welding may also be needed.

let's keep the discussion open :)

Tracked my 2008 ISF, and it worked really well. I wouldn't bother unless you've got a cage in it. :)
