Will These Fit An Ls430?

I posted this elsewhere but it seems to have got a bit lost.

I've been looking at the possibility of getting another LS430 that's becoming available, if I do , I want to convert it to conventional spring struts.

Does anyone know if these will do the trick? According to the listing they will but they won't reply to messages. If so, it works out a lot less than shipping from the US.

....... looking at the advert and the typos alone would put me off this company tbh ..... " warrienties with in " rather than " warranties within "

it's the simple things in life that can make the difference with vendors, especially on eBay ....... but I have absolutely no idea if the product is ok

I'm not sure that a poor command of the English language would put me off, the guy that does my bodywork isn't Mastermind material but he's brilliant at what he does.

Its just knowing at this stage if the product looks to be right for the job. I can get them from the US for a similar price, but that doesn't include shipping and taxes.

When you consider replacing with air parts again, with 4 struts and 4 sensors (not even including the pump) there's a potential cost there of £4,600 without labour, so it has to make sense in the long run.

...... typos on a website ............................. command of English language or not it's a bit naf to get one's "marketing" askew .. I would go bananas if the guys I was involved with doing adverts, web changes etc got such a fundamental awry ............ but there we are, maybe (as I have said before ) I'm staid and old fashioned and have rather higher expectations than I should.

Dumbing down is a bit sad ........ but alas, only to expected these days :zorro:

btw, hope you get the right stuff, this does seem a better way to go than piecemeal, or fully, replacing these air units.

Well generally, Malc, I couldn't agree more. In fact, if somebody actually used the word "chillaxing" to my face I would give their nose a tweek! I'm a defender of the English language, which includes the correct way to pronounce "schedule" and all the other Americanisms we have.

However, back to the point, if anyone has any info/thoughts on these struts I'd appreciate it.

Have you tried ringing them?? 01509 211888

Reading here as my air suspension has just jacked the rear right up. Found left hand side bracket had broken so that had been a fixed height for a fair while and guessing the right hand sensor has now gone...

Contemplating my options..

Cheers

I think I will phone them on Monday. Even if I don't buy another LS430, I may do the conversion on my current car. It's just a case of deciding if I should do it on a car with 145K on the clock, although the engine still runs beautifully,as does the transmission.

The way I see it is if the suspension was converted, the transmission/water possible problems were addressed, there's no reason why the LS430 shouldn't be as tough as its predecessor, it is after all more or less the same with regards to the engine and transmission.

Why not phone bc racing instead?

For comparison I wish I could find the spring and damper rates for the (non existent in the uk) standard Lexus item.

Terms like 'street', never mind 'racing' imply a ride quality that would fail to cossett.

I'll phone them both on Monday and let you know what they say.

Phoned them today, £699 including delivery for the four struts, and they're made in the UK. The guy said they've sold a fair few to LS430 owners. They make to order which takes around 10 days.

I would be worried that the coil overs would kill the super smooth ride.

I've had a few vehicles over the years with coil over suspension and all have been very hard.

These are adjustable, although you wouldn't want to take the rear seat out twice!
