Hi my name is Tom I have had my IS200 for a year now with no faults and flew through MOT this year. I am now doing the DIY supercharge conversion. I have a great knowledge of cars and am just finishing my brothers Merc 190E 2.3 supercharged conversion and has inspired me to do my IS200 I have the CLK 230 supercharger and will by all the bits I need from there. I have read a few forums and have different parts lists, on here I heard of a "Black Box" others say just need HKS fcd (but from what i have read these dont work to well with lead foots) I do not want to do this wrong as I love my lexus and want to improve the power.

Any help would be much appreciated I will take pictures and document the whole conversion (once me new laptop turns up next week) my 1st job will be to make the cradle I will try and upload pictures today as I'm starting with that as it's not much an option to buy 1.

Current Mods

Decat manifolds

Back box

Are filter

35 mm lowering springs

Only run car on super unleaded

I am looking to buy all the parts as I go along but my next purchase is hopefully the black box.

Super unleaded is for high performance engines. It has a higher octane rating to cope with higher compression ratios. Unless you've raised your compression ratio, you're wasting your money.

You obviously know what you're doing but one thing you need to know... The cradle is your biggest challenge, it has to be perfect otherwise you'll shred belts for fun.

You need a copy of the TTE cradle or a JIG of one. Also Patricks black box is what you ideally want. Unfortunately he's not on this forum, well he is but not active. You can only reach him through O J C (out law #) cradle info is also available on that forum and a guy sells them.

I'm prob gonna get in trouble for mentioning the other forum but if you're seriously gonna do this you need to be on there and on here https://m.facebook.com/groups/179809172041079

Sorry mods of I've broke the rules but trying to help a guy out and that's what this forum is about isn't it? Cos mate you won't get the advice you need to DIY charge your car in here.

Thaks already a lot of help and I am part that way through my home made cradle and tbh it is difficult I've been on this for hours and doesn't seem I reached much of a goal, but I would much rather just buy a cradle save me a lot more time I will still keep using this forum a document my conversion.

And the super unleaded my car seems to do a lot better miles on the super than standard.
