Looking forward to the delivery of my NX in a couple of months. It's a great car. But I've seen several comments in other threads about the lack of flexibility in specifications, so that many desirable features aren't available on grades below Premier even as options, such as the HUD and full LED headlights. A cursory glance at international Lexus websites shows that in the UK we're also denied interior trim options available in other markets, even far smaller markets such as Ireland. The equivalent of the UK "luxury" grade in most European markets shows the availability of leather upholstery in garnet red and saddle tan, for example, as well as black and ivory. There's also a choice to have the dash and door panel trim in ivory, and some pictures show bamboo wood inserts, which look terrific. I wonder who makes these decisions and why? At the moment, it may be the case that Lexus GB can sell every NX it can get its hands on, but in the longer run denying owners even limited opportunity to personalise their spec may be counterproductive when this is such a feature of the German competitors' offer?

It was a stupid decision Martin. and I'm sure it's put a lot of potential buyers off the NX. You are right though, with the waiting list I don't suppose Lexus gives a damn. It still shows a lack of planning, and some might see it as apathy towards buyers in the UK. Still, by now we should be used to being treated like mugs.

Well it appears the buyers going from an RX to an NX are buying the premier models. The rest who are coming from evoques, bmws etc probably don't care as those cars don't have many options when bought anyway

Yes I think switching from an RX to an NX you would need to go for the Premier, unless losing the options isn't important. I believe the F Sport is still the best selling model though, and that may well be down to the front end styling. Pity the F Sport grille and paddle shifters aren't available on the Premier, because that would solve a few buying issues.

I went for the Luxury. I liked the look of the Sport, but I did not want the sport suspension, I prefer a softer ride. The Premier was just out of my budget to be honest, just a step too far.

They need a grade between the F Sport and Premier in the NX. Something akin to what they have in the US for the RX. In the US there's a RX450h Sport Luxury which looks like an RX Advance with all the kit so its halfway between an F SPORT and Premier in terms of look but top of the line in terms of equipment
