Rx400H (2008) Iphone Woes.

Hi there,

We have recently purchased a low mileage 2008 RX400H with Navigation and Iphone AUX connection cable.

The issue we are having is that we seem to be unable to play any music from the Iphone through the sound system. The cable does however charge the Iphone when connected.

We have tried several times to get it working to no avail.

Can anyone offer any advice on what the issue might be?

I believe the iPhones we have tried are 5 & 5S models.

Hi. I didn't think the RX 400 had a Iphone connection or auxiliary cable. Maybe I am wrong.

Hey,

I believe it was installed as an extra when the original owner purchased the vehicle. The cable is in the glovebox and 'looks as though' it is connected to the back of the sound system, etc.

I have an iPod / Iphone interface in my RX350 and you have to press CD and FM buttons on stereo simultaneously in order the access the interface in order to operate and hear sounds from iPod / Iphone.

I bought a GROM unit and it works great with my Iphone 5s. Very easy to install took about 15 mins.
