Coincidence or not ...

There has been a post from a new member (UK) about this possible fault on a CT200 - posted in the forum today

I live out in "the sticks", drive about 25K miles a year and have covered over 150K miles in IS250 second generation cars. I've encountered numerous potholes over the years and received some real whacks from them (including 2 cracked rims) - and I mean real whacks - toothache, ringing ears etc. In all that time I've never seen any sign of damage to the car itself.

So I'm sceptical. After nearly a decade I would have expected such a problem to have been big news on a forum like this long ago.

Don't know who fixes potholes in the States, but why don't they just get them fixed - no pothole, no problem I was quite impressed by my local council who sorted out 3 in the same amount of days in our street, after I complained mainly due to my car being splashed with watery grit after every downpour. Now I just need to sort out the street around the corner which looks like the surface of the moon.....
