Back With A Lexus Again

Hi all, i'd owned a lexus ls400 a few years ago and regretted selling it due to circumstances, but I've missed them so much that I've just bought another but this time a 2005 gs430. I've a couple of things I'd like some advice on please, firstly the reverse camera isn't showing on the screen, is this a common thing, where to check, etc. secondly I'd like to change the auto transmission fluid a few times as you never get it all out in one go, is it a special grade of fluid or just any atf fluid ? One last thing, I've only got one key, are they a dealer part only and will it break the bank to get another.

I'll appreciate any reply's and am looking forward to many lexus miles in the future that I've missed for some time.

For the transmission fluid your owners manual should confirm but it will either be Toyota T-IV or Toyota AFT WS. Personally I wouldn't use anything other than the genuine Toyota fluid unless you know it is the real OEM equivalent.

I've only got one key too. Here's the reply I got from Lexus.

Thank you for your enquiry.

The price of a new key along with programming is £315.85 inc VAT

We would need a copy of the V5 prior to ordering.

It's a dilemma because if you lose your single key, the ECU & locks have to be changed at a cost of about £1200.

Let us know if you find a cheaper option.
