I didn't actually buy the gear change Knob.

I would have paid £30 to £35

But not £350. That's a joke.

Can I ask was that just for the belt or the idlers/tensioner too?

Lexus told me that if the tensioner required replacement they would call me.

So the cost was for the replacement of the Cam Belt only.

Given the work involved that's pretty good going. A water pump and pulleys should be, or ought to be good for 100,000 miles....for an average motor but for a quality product I'd expect double. Don't you hate this commodity approach? Well all the related bits should be replaced etc etc. No they should last the lifetime of the vehicle. :innocent:
