RX450h series 3 intelligent LED headlights
ColinBarber replied to VFR's topic in Lexus General Discussions
You can do it yourself if you have level ground and something you can aim your lights against. The headlight as a whole is adjusted (both dipped and high beams together): https://www.national.co.uk/blog/how-to-align-your-car-headlights-ahead-of-an-mot-check -
Forcing the car to stay idlng

I have a Thinkware F770 dash cam that came with a 'Thinkware' 32gb card. Is it necessary to use a 'Thinkware' card or will any card with the same speed spec work just as well?

Ok it just sounds like your car was not maintained very well. While headgaskets are a problem on these engines they dont fail very commonly in the UK more in the US. Try getting the intake + egr + injector cleaner + plugs replaced and see if that helps. Top up your coolant and observe if its going low frequently first before investing in other solutions. If so then you probably have a head gasket problem. Also check for brown mayo under the oil filler cap this is the most common symptom of a bad headgasket. As far as your heating not working it sounds like your servo motors have failed its the motors that control the flaps inside the ac ducting that directs air to the different vents. Sounds like it is stuck closed for the main vents. But as you are getting heat on the passenger side i think the heater matrix still works and no smell of coolant indicates that you dont have leaks.

Regenerative Braking Limited
Lisa 102 replied to Lisa 102's topic in Lexus UX250h / UX300h / UX300e Club
So after successfully receiving updates via the console, one of them which must have updated this warning so that as I mentioned previously I was only getting the warning above 95% of battery charge, now we’re into the colder weather in the UK the warnings back up intermittently for the whole journey (65% charge). I’ve read that the warning comes up when it’s extremely cold, the annoying thing is whilst driving it’s pinging and the warning is coming up, then when the car is idle, for example, in traffic or at traffic lights it goes off completely, so it’s off and on for all of a journey happily pinging away, both distracting and annoying. -

Adding puddle lights to NX350h / NX450h
ArneT replied to rado16v's topic in Lexus NX300h / NX200t / NX350h / NX450h+ Club
Update on my earlier post - the NX300h Gen 1 Premier trim includes small puddle lights in the door handles (the ones that illuminate the door handles when you approach the car when it is locked). This provides gentle illumination of the ground to check for puddles or other obstacles. I am not sure which other Gen 1 trim levels include puddle lights. -
Shock Absorbers for Dynamic Handling Pack (DHP)
BigBoomer replied to Swan55's topic in Brakes & Suspension
You may need to replace the top mount as well to be able to use standard shock absorbers. The DHP top mount will be a different shape from the standard one. Nobody seems to have documented exactly how the DHP shocks differed from the standard ones. -
All season tyres

It should be as it is AWD with a FWD bias and pretty much the same engine as my '98 with 80bhp more. The computers in more modern cars are very clever at such things. They detect air temperature and such and adjust accordingly, much like in the LS430 😁 -
Digital speedo on 14" info screen ?
old man 2 replied to old man 2's topic in Lexus NX300h / NX200t / NX350h / NX450h+ Club
Thanks guys. I'll have to learn to live without it then as I don't play thing from my phone in the car. -
Thank you Brian. I have tried moving it and adjusting etc, with no luck. I think it's to do with the limit switch. It will eventually stop doing it, but it's disconcerting having all that clicking going on! It seems to stop after 30 seconds, so must be on a time switch somehow. So, I think a replacement is the only answer, or not have it set to fold.

I’d say it was even less than half the truth about RFK Jr. judging by the actions of an American organisation called ‘The Center for Inquiry’. By coincidence, this is an email they’ve just sent me: The Center for Inquiry (CFI) urges our supporters to make their voices heard on a crucial matter of public health: Join us in opposing the nomination of Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. for Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS). As CFI president and CEO Robyn Blumner declared, Kennedy “may very well be the worst possible choice the incoming president could make for the vital job of protecting public health.” For starters, he is a lawyer with no training in medicine or public health. Much worse, of course, is that he is a well-known opponent of vaccines who has for many years spread dangerous misinformation. This includes the scientifically discredited claim that childhood vaccines cause autism. As Secretary of HHS, Kennedy would possess the power to reduce access to vaccines – as well as to erode Americans’ trust in vaccination (and in science-based medicine in general). Given that vaccines rank high among modern medicine’s most significant advances, it is difficult to overstate the potential harm. One need look no further than the deadly measles outbreak in Samoa in 2019, where Kennedy spread misinformation about vaccines that contributed to the deaths of 83 people, mostly children. Among other claims he has made regarding public health matters: Kennedy has called the COVID-19 vaccine the “deadliest vaccine ever made” and has instead touted ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine as effective treatments for COVID-19; Kennedy has claimed that 5G wireless network service is being used to “control our behavior”; He has falsely argued that HIV does not cause AIDS, despite clear scientific proof to the contrary; And he has linked mass shootings to the use of antidepressants. Additionally, the Secretary of HHS oversees vital federal agencies such as the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the National Institutes of Health (NIH). These agencies have a tremendous combined responsibility to ensure the health and welfare of the American people. Kennedy is manifestly unfit to lead them given that he sows distrust in science, spreads conspiracy theories, and expresses disdain for the “medical establishment.” America simply deserves better leadership on health. Please contact your member of the U.S. Senate and urge them to oppose Kennedy’s nomination for Secretary of HHS.

If you press the start button without also pressing the brakes, that gets you into Accessory mode. It's like having the ignition on in a conventional car, before turning the key further to crank the engine. To get from Accessory mode into READY mode, simply press the brake pedal and push the START button again. I'm very surprised by the attitude of Lexus Romania, that's terrible.

Servers down - no charging
wivenhoe replied to JoMit's topic in Lexus RZ Owners Club - All-New Electric Lexus
If the servers are down then the app can’t tell you they are. I definitely wouldn’t rely on Lexus Link to schedule a charge. I use my charger app which is more reliable or a bit of a faff and use the in-car scheduler. In my experience even the preheat fails quite regularly, which I put down to a signal issue. I’m not sure which network Lexus sim’s use, but it’s unreliable in my location. -
Heating doesn't work
wivenhoe replied to JoMit's topic in Lexus RZ Owners Club - All-New Electric Lexus
You’ll notice that the ice stays on the bonnet for longer too. I see in the owners manual that the front camera is heated to overcome snow on it - But it says where fitted so I reckon it’s only fitted on cold climate cars -
Seriously thinking of buying 300e long range
javadude replied to Dealkent's topic in Lexus UX250h / UX300h / UX300e Club
They are meant to be better built these days, although quality and comfort is not on Lexus level. I've not heard so many issues on the Tesla FB group. Since they've been built in China they've been better quality (than the US ones). Some things to be aware of: They no longer come with indicator stalks. These have been replaced with buttons and I've heard mix reviews from owners from "not as good as stalks but you get used to them" to " my wife hates them and won't drive the car". The buttons aren't so great on roundabouts as they obviously move with the steering wheel. Some people have complained that they need a firm push or pushing in the right place. Best have a test drive and see what you think. Parking sensors have been removed and now the cameras are used to give a rough idea of obstacles. The front camera is at the top of the windscreen so accuracy at the front is not great. Auto-windscreen wipers can be a bit hit and miss as they use the cameras again instead of proper sensors. I've found mine work pretty well recently. The over the air updates do mean things like this should improve over time, although you get the occasional bug. Auto-steer on the motorway is great, when it works which is most of the time. Occassionally it will try to steer you off a slip road if the road markings are worn. You can just use adaptive cruise control without it though. Customer service is variable and nothing like Lexus standard. eg Rangers fixing the car on your drive is great but I've had an issue where it took multiple appointments because they didn't have the part, had the wrong part etc. Efficiency, range, performance and charge speed are all excellent as is the charging network and the cars have a CCS plug like every other modern EV except for the UX 300e. Dog mode is very useful if you have a dog (or child) -
