Well Guys,
What can i say :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
We had another fantastic day at Crail, thought the weather was going to be against us, but the sun was splitting the tree's, 22C, so i suppose it was not quite perfect, but most importantly, it was not raining 8)
Anyway, as far as i go, finally managed to get the car's boost upto 13-14psi (big thanx Chris+Bedlam :D )So when i got there i was over anxious to get started 8)
Anyway, got my first run done, but i was wheel spinning quite bad, i ran a 14.3 @ 99.6 mph. Over the next few runs, i experimented with the take-off rpm and was still wheel spinning badly and was getting steady 14.3's
I was really gunning for Barracuda's time of 14.2odd's and i played around with the tyre pressures a bit. . . . .still wheel spinning badly, Bedlam and Chris were wheel spinning also. As the day went on i finally managed to achieve 14.268, just a baw hair of Barracuda's time, a few thou of a second! I was happy at that and i let the car cool down for a while.
Next on was Michelle's dad, first time doing the 1/4mile. After a few runs with Chris, Dougie finally got the hang of this, and would you believe it :!: Listen carefully Mike, the big C*nt got a 14.17, aye 14.17 B'dy h*ll i could'ny believe what i saw, i was videoing him at the time and saw his time through the view finder, so when he came off i got him to get his times, yip 14.17 was correct. I was happy for him, so i went out for a bash!
I was along side Bedlam and Chris, and what stick i took from em' I was called all sorts cause Dougie got such a good time, and i had'nt, enough was enough Could'nt let those so and so's have the upper hand, so i went out and thrashed down the 1/4 mile, and gues what :?: Mike are you still with us :?: 14.132 i got, LOL :D :D :D :D :D
Yip that was a fantastic time for bog standard Soarer TT running 13-14 psi
After that run i was getting steady 14.1's so i'm a happy man, that deserves a wee Buckfast, don't you think. . . . . Cheers 8)
